Address Magic Personal Plus
|
You can copy an address book from one computer to another using one of two choices for your Destination on the original machine.
Use Email Attachment to send the address book by email or use Address Magic Backup to transfer by floppy disk or file sharing. The two machines do not need to be running the same email application or address book. |
E-mail Attachment Method
-
On the source machine, convert from your existing format to Email Attachment. You will be prompted for who you want to send the file to. The exact details depend on which email application you are running.
-
On the destination machine, first run Address Magic Personal.
-
On the target machine, open the email, then open the attachment (often by double-clicking it) to open the address book in Address Magic.
-
Choose a Destination for the address book.
Address Magic Backup Method
-
On the source machine, convert from your existing format to Address Magic Backup (AMI). Take the AMI file you created and copy it to a floppy disk or a network drive where the new machine will have access to the file.
-
On the destination machine, first run Address Magic Personal.
-
In Windows Explorer, browse to the network drive or floppy disk containing the file and double-click the file to open it in Address Magic.
-
Choose a Destination for the address book.
